Prescribing

If you are using an opiate based drug (like heroin) or you are having difficulty with alcohol, you can see one of our specialist doctors.

Your recovery coordinator will talk to you about all of the treatment options available to you, and one of these options may be to see one of our doctors, who may offer you medication to support your recovery journey.

If you are using an opiate based drug, one of our specialist doctors will assess your suitability for a prescription. So instead of using an illegal substance like heroin, we may prescribe you a controlled drug such as Methadone or Buprenorphine. This may help you stabilise your dependence, and develop a plan to reduce your medication at a pace that suits you.

If you are having difficulty with alcohol, we can support you in the same way. Our specialist doctors will assess your suitability and develop the same type of plan, but may prescribe Acamprosate. Which ever option you choose, your recovery coordinator will support you along your recovery journey.

Criminal Justice

We have a specialist criminal justice team who work closely with the Police and Probation services.
