From today, 1 April 2024, CDAS will be jointly delivered by leading drug and alcohol recovery charities, WithYou and BAC O’Connor (BAC).
Over the last six years, WithYou and BAC O’Connor have worked together with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust (NSCHT) to deliver the current Stoke-on-Trent Community Drug and Alcohol Services (CDAS) contract.
Andreia Carrazedo, Head of Service Delivery for CDAS said: “We would like to extend a sincere thank you to NSCHT for leading the CDAS service for the last six years. Our partnership has brought together three experienced, passionate and proven providers with extensive experience to support people living across our county.
“We are incredibly proud of the difference that our teams make to the lives of local people, and WithYou and BAC O’Connor will build on the foundations created over the last few years to strengthen CDAS for local communities.”
North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust will continue to deliver the Edward Myers Unit, which provides a medically-managed inpatient detox service for people with complex physical and mental health needs
